General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

1. Scope

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all contracts, services, and offers from Make Finances Work, hereinafter referred to as "Provider," relating to financial coaching, courses, and lectures on financial education . They apply exclusively to the aforementioned services and not to financial advice, investment advice, or asset management as defined by the German Securities Trading Act (WpHG) or other legal provisions.

2. Conclusion of the contract

The contract is concluded upon the customer's binding booking (e.g., via online form, email, or written confirmation) and acceptance by the provider. By booking, the customer declares their agreement to these terms and conditions. The provider confirms the booking by email or in writing.

3. Services

The provider offers financial coaching, courses, and lectures on general financial education. The exact content and scope of the services are detailed in the respective service descriptions (e.g., on the website or in course materials). It is expressly stated that the provider's services do not constitute individual financial advice, investment recommendations, or tax advice. Clients make their financial decisions independently and at their own risk.

4. Prices and Payment Terms

All prices are final prices and do not include VAT in accordance with § 19 UStG (small business regulation). Payment is made directly via the website or by invoice and is due within 14 days of the invoice date. In case of late payment, the provider reserves the right to charge default interest at a rate of 5% above the base interest rate of the European Central Bank.

5. Cancellation and Withdrawal

Clients can cancel booked coaching sessions or courses free of charge up to 24 hours before the start. For cancellations made later or in case of no-show, the full price will be charged.

Once the course content has been activated, cancellation is not possible if the customer has already used the content.

6. Liability

The provider is not liable for damages resulting from improper use of the information provided. This applies in particular to financial losses or decisions regarding investments, taxes, or insurance. Liability for gross negligence and intent remains unaffected.

7. Data protection

The collection and processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the provider's privacy policy, which can be viewed on the website.

8. Copyright and usage rights

All materials created by the provider (e.g., scripts, videos, presentations) are subject to copyright. Customers may use these exclusively for personal use. Any distribution or publication requires the provider's written consent.

9. Final Provisions

Should any provision of these Terms and Conditions be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. Invalid clauses shall be replaced by a provision that most closely approximates the original economic purpose. Amendments and additions to these Terms and Conditions must be in writing.

10. Jurisdiction and applicable law

For consumers, the statutory place of jurisdiction applies. Otherwise, the place of jurisdiction is the registered office of the provider. German law applies.
